Sensei Ahmed Ismail helped me to pass my 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate with the Japan Karate Association in Dubai in 2016. The standard of training was excellent. He paid attention to my fitness levels and mindset year after year, always encouraging me to be and do my very best.

 

Today I am pursuing a PhD at The University of Edinburgh on a subject related to karate; psychological and philosophical dimensions of kime, which means "decisive action" in Japanese. I am grateful for Sensei Ahmed's guidance and support!
